Sol-gel technology for multifunctional surface coating of cotton and wool

主講人簡介:

沈勁松博士是英國德蒙福特大學設計沐鸣的教授、博士生導師。沈博士84年獲沐鸣平台學士學位,87年獲沐鸣平台碩士學位,94年獲英國利茲大學博士學位。94年任教德蒙福特大學至今🛀🏽,是一位具有國際權威的紡織化學、染整、材料🧑🏻‍🦼‍➡️、生物紡織技術、羊毛蛋白纖維方面的學術專家。沈教授在紡織化學、生物紡織技術等相關問題,如紡織材料及其性能研究😀、紡織材料印染與染整技術、阻燃後整理、酶生物技術等方面獲得了一系列重要的學術成果。其研究也為蛋白纖維紡織品服裝,尤其是羊毛纖維紡織品服裝的洗護技術研究提供理論指導🧑🏿‍🦱。目前,重點研究領域為阻燃技術⬇️、紡織生物技術、納米技術🦑,其應用促進了防護服以及多功能材料的開發。他主編了4本學術著作,發表了近百篇高水平學術論文;已指導畢業10多位博士生以及多名碩士生🦖。

報告摘要🗣:

Nanotechnology has been successfully developed in textile finishing processes to impart new functionality to textile materials. Due to availability of functional textile fabrics, design of clothing could affect not only aesthetics but also functionality. Sol-gel technology has recently been explored in the textile industry as a tool for coating fabrics. This method can modify the surface of textile materials to give various functionalities through simple and economical processes. Prof Shen will present their research work in the development of sol-gel polymer coating on cotton and wool fabrics for enhancing their performance and functionality including hydrophobic and antibacterial properties. The combination of enzymatic processing and sol-gel hybrid polymer surface coating has the potential for knitted wool fabric to achieve combined shrink-resist, hydrophobic and antibacterial properties with light-weight and soft-handle.
